Step 158 - I am rich so I can give. (MP3) Entry for Step 157 - I am not alone in the universe.

Greetings All –

Step 158 - I am rich so I can give. (MP3) [Open in Drive or copy to your Drive – Download folder or play from Drive – Step PDF also.]

“I am rich so I can give.” Step 158

ONLY THE RICH CAN GIVE, FOR THEY ARE NOT DESTITUTE. Only the rich can give, for they are not comfortable with a possession unless it is given. Only the rich can give, for they cannot understand their possession until it is given. Only the rich can give, for they wish to experience gratitude as their only reward.

YOU ARE RICH AND YOU CAN GIVE. You possess a wealth of Knowledge already, and this is the greatest possible gift. Any other action, any other favor, any other object that is a gift is only meaningful insofar as it is imbued with Knowledge. This is the unseen essence of all true gifts and all true giving. You have a great storehouse of this essence, which you must learn to receive. You are rich beyond your own awareness. Even if you are financially poor, even if you think you are alone, you are rich. Your giving will demonstrate this today. Your giving will demonstrate the source, the depth and the meaning of your wealth and will imbue all of your giving with the essence of giving itself. You will find in time that you will give without trying and that your life itself will be a gift. Then, your life will demonstrate the wealth that each person possesses but which they have not yet learned to receive.

REPEAT THIS IDEA UPON THE HOUR, and in your two longer meditation practices, experience your own wealth. Experience the presence and the depth of Knowledge. Be the recipient of Knowledge and give yourself to Knowledge, for in giving yourself to your practice, you affirm your own wealth already, which only needs to be affirmed to be fully realized.

PRACTICE 158: Two 30-minute practice periods. Hourly practice.

Note: “You are rich beyond your own awareness. Even if you are financially poor, even if you think you are alone, you are rich.” This is something you may have already experienced in your life. If not, it is a place Steps can take you if you do the Steps.

Today’s picture is not someone’s home or private business, but an art museum – that of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In most countries, there is public infrastructure of libraries, museums, parks, etc. to which we have access and are therefore part of our wealth which can be used to help in the world. That these exist at all is a reflection of historic community motive actors who wish to improve life for other people.

From the journal:

8 a.m. This morning I read about stillness, but don’t have the time to practice. Still – I Know I am with it, it is with me.

10 p.m. A tired/but good day.

Not much in the journal, except a confirmation that knowing is growing. The idea that I am, we are, within life is diagramed on the Step page.

If you are a visual thinker, you might use drawings as well for your own visualizations of the relationships noted.

Journal second time x2 Step 157.  This is for those who have completed Steps once. Doing Steps with only the texts, messages and your life experience, including what you may have studied and practiced is your journey. I’m showing Step comments after the Step, so as not to influence you in advance. It is a wilderness trek to be left to your own wits, but then you can also listen more closely for guides, angels and teachers, always first saying: “I surround and protect myself with the Love and the Grace of God.” Thankfully, I was taught this practice in 1989.

P.S. If you’ve some interest due to this or other Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in order in the archives - one post per Step.

Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
