TODAY WE SHALL REVIEW THE PAST WEEK OF PREPARATION. Review
this objectively without condemnation, once again realizing your advancements
and your limitations and strengthening your resolve. For it is your desire for
Knowledge that we wish to cultivate as well as your capacity. It is right
thinking, right action and true motivation that will advance you naturally in
the direction in which you are meant to go. Each step forward will give you a
greater sense of purpose, meaning and direction in life and will free you from attempting
to resolve matters that do not require resolution and from attempting to
understand things out of fear and anxiety. The more at peace you are with your
nature, the more your nature can express the greatness that you have brought
with you. Thus, you will become a light unto all around you, and you will
marvel at the events of your own life, which in itself will be a miracle.
IN YOUR LONG PRACTICE PERIOD TODAY, undertake your
review with depth and sincerity. Do not let anything dissuade you from your practice
today. It is your practice that is your gift to God, for you give yourself in
your practice, and you receive your gift as well.
PRACTICE 133: One long practice period.

the journal:
9 a.m.
Friday. I’ll go to work some. I need to be unburdened there. Reading GCW-I Community – Spiritual Community/World
Evolution.
“Therefore,
to be happy and to have meaning in the world, you must concentrate on
developing Knowledge and allow it to contribute itself where it knows it can be
of the greatest benefit. This will fulfill your need for relationship and
community.”
9:40 a.m.
Slow start. There is so much need in the world. If we don’t learn this time, it
will be the next or the net. I’ve been concerned about traumatized souls. Earth
culture or lack of seems so good at doing that. There are, I’d guess – I
believe – I sense – ways that is dealt with. I’ve gained enough awareness to
pursue KNOWLEDGE. It fits my perception of the Mystery. I have contact – the
goal is to be the vehicle. It is a role both active and passive, though the latter
is more the goal – being one with our spiritual family – on both sides of the
veil.
I consciously
seek to help people envision community in the Shenandoah Valley, specifically
the Northern Valley. Community precedes planning. Define, then support
geographically and governmentally structurally logical communities.
There’s
envisioned perfection, and the steps to perfection. Man, many, many steps – but
no shortage of time.

a.m. – This book ends and another begins. I have a need for help from Knowledge
or my practical teachers – whichever level the answer/or the step – it may not
be a final answer.

159 – “True community begins because an individual is experiencing spiritual
presence to a very great degree. They are being called by something; something
inside of them is being called by them. If they can open themselves to this and
follow its direction, then other people will be drawn to them, and they will be
the seed for community. This is community in the truest sense. It is the
product of one person responding to God.”
This
describes to me the path of awareness that I’ve been following for the past 25
years. I envision this region as a community of communities. I sit alone as I
write this, but I know the Northern Shenandoah Valley has presence/recognition.
It is becoming real.

The
entry goes on for several pages. My work related then, and still relates to the
greater community perspective. Yours may do so as well, directly or indirectly.
The
Steps may bring that out in you. Do record it as best you can in a journal. I
am returning to review these entries after fourteen years. The insights of 1999
remain valid, and they’ve been added to over the years. Still, the perspective
is not yet known in the world. It may be my role to do so, or perhaps that lies
in the future. These thoughts, so odd for this time, may spur thinking in the
future.

Step 132. This is for those who have completed Steps
once. Doing Steps with only the texts, messages and your life experience,
including what you may have studied and practiced is your journey. I’m showing
Step comments after the Step, so as not to influence you in advance. It is a
wilderness trek to be left to your own wits, but then you can also listen more
closely for guides, angels and teachers, always first saying: “I surround and
protect myself with the Love and the Grace of God.” Thankfully, I was taught
this practice in 1989.
P.S. If you’ve some interest due to this or other
Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can
use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in
order in the archives - one post per Step.
Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps
once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference
how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide
a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One
may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps
students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as
a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well
