Greetings All –
Step 299 - Nome Nome Cono
Na Vera Te Nome (MP3) [Open in Drive or copy to

TODAY’S INVOCATION AGAIN CALLS UPON THE POWER of
others’ endeavors in the reclamation of Knowledge to assist you in your own.
Once again it is a confirmation of the power of what you are doing and your
total inclusion in life. It affirms the truth in a greater context, and it
affirms the truth in words which you have not used for centuries, but which
will become familiar to you as they resonate deeply within your mind.
PRACTICE UPON THE HOUR AND TAKE A MOMENT to feel
the efficacy of today’s statement. Use it as an invocation to begin and as a benediction
to complete your two longer practice periods. Allow yourself to penetrate the
mystery of your life, for the mystery of your life is the source of all meaning
in your life, and it is this meaning which you seek today.
PRACTICE 299: Two 30-minute practice periods. Hourly
practice.
Nome Nome Cono Na Vera Te Nome is another phrase of
Invocative Language . The link goes to the New Message Wiki which
provides an overview and explanation of this and other phrases, many of which
are being introduced in this series of Steps.

Another Step which offers a lot and may lead to
deep thought. It says: “You are part of a
great undertaking existing both within the world and beyond, for God is at work
everywhere. The True Religion, then, is the reclamation of Knowledge. It finds
its expression in each world and in each culture, and there it acquires its
symbolism and its rituals, but its essence is universal.”
Consider just this: “The True Religion, then, is the reclamation of Knowledge.” How many
have sought the answer to the question: “What is the True Religion?” Here it is
given, but can we understand? In my case, I am still working on that.
From the journal, on this day, only a short entry.

Commission situation is highly frustrating. Is it my life? Is it my work? I am
confused.
No notes on the Steps page. A big lesson, one to
stay with as we fit it into an expanding, greater community world. Let us
continue.

Step 298. This is for those who have completed
Steps once. Doing Steps with only the texts, messages and your life experience,
including what you may have studied and practiced is your journey. I’m showing
Step comments after the Step, so as not to influence you in advance. It is a
wilderness trek to be left to your own wits, but then you can also listen more
closely for guides, angels and teachers, always first saying: “I surround and
protect myself with the Love and the Grace of God.” Thankfully, I was taught
this practice in 1989.
P.S. If you’ve some interest due to this or other
Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can
use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in
order in the archives - one post per Step.
Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps
once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference
how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide
a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One
may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps
students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as
a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well
through the Free School of the New Message.
