Step 85 - I find happiness in small things today. (MP3) Entry for Step 84 - Review

Greetings All –

Step 85 - I find happiness in small things today. (MP3)  [Open in Drive or copy to your Drive – Download folder or play from Drive – Step PDF also.]

I find happiness in small things today. Step 85

YOU WILL FIND HAPPINESS IN SMALL THINGS because happiness is with you. You will find happiness in small things because you are learning to be still and observant. You will find happiness in small things because your mind is becoming receptive. You will experience happiness in small things because you are being present to your current circumstances. Small things can carry great messages if you are attentive to them. Then small things will not aggravate you.

A STILL MIND IS AN AWARE MIND. A still mind is a mind that is learning to be at peace. Peace is not a passive state. It is a state of the greatest activity, for it engages your life with great purpose and intensity, activating all of your powers and giving them uniform direction. This comes from peace. God is still, but everything from God is generated into constructive and uniform action. This is what gives form and direction to all meaningful relationships. This is why your Teachers are with you, for there is a Plan.

PRACTICE STILLNESS TWICE TODAY IN DEEP MEDITATION. State your lesson’s affirmation upon the hour and consider it briefly. Allow your day to be given to practice, so practice can infuse itself into all of your other activities.

PRACTICE 85: Two 30-minute practice periods. Hourly practice.

Take note: "Peace is not a passive state. It is a state of the greatest activity, for it engages your life with great purpose and intensity, activating all of your powers and giving them uniform direction."

Yesterday: Step 84 - Review

From the journal:

October 9, 1999 - The Value Regions thesis - Regional coordination/networking increased the intelligence of all involved. A region is two or more - any two node network is regional. We are set up to be negative/defensive in our communication - the ping pong game is played to ace the other, not maintain a long, long volley.

There is a large set of existing networked regions that already add value. This structure needs to be made more visible. It is a discovery channel model.

I will go slow and the design will emerge.

5:25 p.m. - At Little Bear. I have finished the review of the week’s lessons. Many were very powerful.

10/3 - 78 I can do nothing alone.
10/4 - 79 I will allow uncertainty to exist today.
10/5 - 80 I can only practice.
10/6 - 81 I will not deceive myself today.
10/7 - 82 I will not judge another today.
10/8 -.83 I value Knowledge (Holy Spirit) beyond all things.

All steps together shine within me. I honor my creator and seek joy.
Amen & Amen
T-om Su-ne

Time to head out. The week ahead, the weeks - there shall be more joy - for I see and feel more and sense/get more of true life.

There was a lot this day. Here I am being myself, being odd, and, with Steps to Knowledge, trying to make sense of the world.

Journal 2nd Time Step 84.  This is for those who have completed Steps once. Doing Steps with only the texts, messages and your life experience, including what you may have studied and practiced is your journey. I’m showing my first year Step comments after the Step, so as not to influence you in advance. It is a wilderness trek to be left to your own wits, but then you can also listen more closely for guides, angels and teachers, always first saying: “I surround and protect myself with the Love and the Grace of God.” Thankfully, I was taught this practice in 1989.

P.S. If you’ve some interest due to this or other Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in order in the archives - one post per Step.

Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
