"My
Higher Self is not an individual." Step 88
|
THERE IS OFTEN CONFUSION
CONCERNING YOUR HIGHER SELF and your Spiritual Teachers. This is very hard to
resolve from the point of view of separation. But when you think of life as an
inclusive network of evolving relationships, you then begin to experience and
recognize that your Higher Self is indeed part of a greater fabric of
relationship. It is the part of you that is not separate but is meaningfully
bonded with others. Therefore, your Higher Self is bonded to the Higher Self of
your Teachers. They are without duality now, for they have no other self. You
have two selves: the Self that has been created and the self that you have
created. To bring the self that you have created into service to your True Self
joins them together into a meaningful marriage of purpose and service and ends
internal conflict forever.
TODAY UPON THE HOUR REPEAT YOUR
AFFIRMATION and feel its impact. In your two longer practice periods, use your
affirmation as an introduction to your practice in stillness and receptivity.
PRACTICE
88: Two 30-minute practice periods. Hourly practice.
Note: "You have two selves:
the Self that has been created and the self that you have created. To bring the
self that you have created into service to your True Self joins them together
into a meaningful marriage of purpose and service and ends internal conflict
forever."

S2K 87 I will not be afraid of
what I know! I have experienced the stillness and will return to it. I know the
trick is to choose life. I Know this existence is temporary and imperfect. I could
be a character in a story, but I want to be a whole being who is a contributing
soul of a living family.
I do not want conflict on
trauma. Things I know when presented to others causes conflict in them
because of their world view.
Virginia is a unique place to
learn what I'm learning.
→ Living
well - Regionally

> This is what I Know -
...
10:56 A.M. At work - region is
a concept - local is a twin concept, but preferred. - Make every region local.
11:30 A.M. Why have I been so
afraid all of my life? It is a mystery to me. It is not a neurosis of abuse -
I've kept safe. I've been the Ninja - so - what I know can help actualize the
beautiful planet. I'm realistic/fearful (?) about my relations - as set out by
my trio of watch dogs - ... I invest in capacity.
By networking we expand
intelligence. Vision - manifestation - movement required. If we cooperate in a
way that tests and builds strength - then the quality of manifestation will
increase.
This I
know. How do I communicate that better in actions?
9 p.m. I will not be afraid of
what I know. I look at all that is and know it is temporary. Here on the edge
that I see easily with my mind's eye. I can walk in the woods and know, yet
there is a bigger place - a wider view --- I'm just one - no fear, know
knowledge.
A challenging Step. There
were many notes in 1999, connecting the idea to my work. Today, quite a bit of
writing as well. Please do a journal when you can.

second time x2 Step 87. This is for those who have completed
Steps once. Doing Steps with only the texts, messages and your life experience,
including what you may have studied and practiced is your journey. I’m showing Step
comments after the Step, so as not to influence you in advance. It is a
wilderness trek to be left to your own wits, but then you can also listen more
closely for guides, angels and teachers, always first saying: “I surround and
protect myself with the Love and the Grace of God.” Thankfully, I was taught
this practice in 1989.
P.S. If you’ve some interest due to this or other
Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can
use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in
order in the archives - one post per Step.
Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps
once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference
how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide
a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One
may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps
students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as
a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well
through the Free School of the New Message.
