Step 35 – Review ~ learn something of The Greater Community Way of Knowledge. (MP3) Entry for Step 34 - I am a beginning student of Knowledge.

Greetings All –

Step 35 - Review  (MP3)  (MP3 Steps 29-35) [Open in Drive or copy to your Drive – Download folder or play from Drive – Step PDF also.]

THIS REVIEW WILL GIVE YOU AN OPPORTUNITY to learn something of The Greater Community Way of Knowledge. In two 30-minute practice periods, review your prior week’s instructions and experiences in practice. Do this with as little judgment as possible. Merely look and see what was instructed, what you did and what the result was. This objective review will give you the greatest access to insight and understanding with a minimum of pain and self-abuse.You are learning now to become objective about your life without repressing the content of your emotions. Instead of attempting to destroy one aspect of yourself, you are simply attempting to cultivate another.

THEREFORE, IN YOUR REVIEW, use this as a guidepost: “I will look, but I will not judge.” In this way, you will be able to recognize things. Remember how much easier it may be for you to have insight about another’s life and how little you may have about your own. Greater objectivity is possible with others because you are not attempting to use their life for any specific purpose and the extent to which you are, the less able you will be to understand them, their nature, their development or their destiny. Therefore, the less you attempt to use your life, the more you will be able to understand it, appreciate it and work with its intrinsic mechanism for your greater advancement.

PRACTICE 35: Two 30-minute practice periods.

Step 34 said: "greatness that waits to be discovered within you, a greatness that will give you true equality in life." This, I noted in my copy, is a "goal" and a "promise." It is something to work toward as well as a reward.

From the Journal:

6:53 p.m. August 19 - Being here is an obvious element of my mission. That, in itself has often been difficult. I'm missing 10 to 20% of my mission -

That would mean 10-20% of my time is mis-allocated?

Being a beginner in anything is not easy. We want to get beyond that stage quickly. How hard can it be to learn this anyway? We will find out.

Journal 2nd Time Step 34.  This is for those who have completed Steps once. Doing Steps with only the texts, messages and your life experience, including what you may have studied and practiced is your journey. I’m showing my first year Step comments after the Step, so as not to influence you in advance. It is a wilderness trek to be left to your own wits, but then you can also listen more closely for guides, angels and teachers, always first saying: “I surround and protect myself with the Love and the Grace of God.” Thankfully, I was taught this practice in 1989.

P.S. If you’ve some interest due to this or other Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in order in the archives - one post per Step.

Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
