| My will is to know God. Step 43 |
YOUR WILL IS TO KNOW GOD. That is
your true will. Any other desire or motivation is to escape this, which
represents your will. It is your will that has become fearful to you. You are
afraid of what you know and most deeply feel. This leads you to find refuge in
other things that do not represent you, and in this you lose your identity and
attempt to construct an identity that is related to those things which you have
sought for escape. In isolation you are miserable, but in relationship
happiness is regained.
YOUR WILL IS TO KNOW GOD. Do not
be afraid of your will. You are created by God. God’s will is to know you. Your
will is to know God. There is no other will. All motivations other than this
are born merely of confusion and fear. To know God gives God power and gives
you power as well.
IN YOUR TWO PRACTICE PERIODS
TODAY, in silent meditation, practice feeling the strength of your own will. Do
not let fear and doubt cloud your mind. You need not try to feel the will of
God. It is simply there. It only requires your attention for you to recognize
it. Therefore, practice deeply by simply being present to this experience.

42 - Review
Reviews are important. We are trying to determine our
movement and change in perception. The journal, of course, is a help in this
task. Going back over the past sometimes will generate a laugh.
From the Journal:
1:17 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 1999 - In the air on American
Airlines en-route to Dallas, Texas to see my kids and grand-kids. ...
2:20 p.m. S2K Review - continued -
3 p.m. Conclusion S2k is my path. I have more access to
power and have recovered from my planners burnout.
3:05 p.m. "We've got to region our way out of
this."
Bucky Fuller - "I seem to be a verb." Tom C,
"I seem to be regions." communication."

out needing to get back up front. We've been lapped - There is repetition
→the
irreversibility of higher levels of communication.
What I was/am supposed to be doing in the world has
always been part of my spiritual search/seeking. It may be yours as well.
Whatever goes through your mind is fair game for the journal. The pit stop
reference comes from NASCAR racing.

Journal 2nd Time Step 42. This
is for those who have completed Steps once. Doing Steps with only the texts,
messages and your life experience, including what you may have studied and
practiced is your journey. I’m showing Step comments after the
Step, so as not to influence you in advance. It is a wilderness trek to be left
to your own wits, but then you can also listen more closely for guides, angels
and teachers, always first saying: “I surround and protect myself with the Love
and the Grace of God.” Thankfully, I was taught this practice in 1989.
P.S. If you’ve some interest due to this or other

and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can
use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in

Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps
once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference
how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide
a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One
may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps
students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as
