"There is a role for me to play in the world." Step 92 |
YOU HAVE COME INTO THE WORLD AT
A CRUCIAL TIME. You have come to serve the world in its present needs. You have
come to prepare for future generations. Can all of this be meaningful to you
personally now? Perhaps not, because you are working for the present and for
the future. You are working for the life that you will live and for lives that
will follow yours. This is fulfilling to you now, for this is your gift that
you have come to give. Without pretense and without uncertainty, this will arise
from you naturally and will give itself into the world. Weaving your life with
other lives in a very specific way, it is meant to uplift you and all with whom
you come in contact. The Plan is greater than your personal ambition, and only
your personal ambition can cloud your vision of what you must do. Be thankful,
then, today that there is a role for you to fulfill in the world. You have come
into the world to fulfill this role—for your own fulfillment, for the
advancement of your world and for service to your Spiritual Family.
IN YOUR TWO PRACTICE PERIODS
TODAY, concentrate and affirm that there is a role for you to play. Do not
attempt to fill in that role according to your ideas or your wishes, but allow
that role to fulfill itself, for Knowledge within you will fulfill it once you
are prepared. In stillness and acceptance, affirm that there is a role for you
to play in the world and experience the power and the truth of this great idea.
PRACTICE 92: Two 30-minute
practice periods.

7:35 p.m. At Little Bear for my
weekly review. I have my flashlight - so this is being done in the dark. So
much to do - I need Knowledge to to help set my priorities. Clothes & car
today, and propane heater - no risk, future use. I need lots of food to keep
going ... that is next.
LIttle Bear - Patience in distance. |
Little Bear is another big
rock near Patience. The best photo I have is from the winter. Patience is the
large rock in the background. Off the trail is a good place for stillness. The
reference to the propane heater has to do with Y2K prepping as a heating
alternative in the event of an electrical system failure. Y2K was the
shorthand for the "Year 2000" failures anticipated because computer
systems had been designed with a two digit year field since the start because
memory was so limited. In my writing and thinking, Steps to Knowledge was S2K
because of the Y2K use at that time.
On the page,
plenty of green ink. That: "This gives you certainty and stability and
allows you to deal compassionately with all things of lesser strength." To
the right I wrote <Diplomacy> reflecting my thinking at the time.

second time x2 Step 91. This is for those who have completed Steps once. Doing Steps
with only the texts, messages and your life experience, including what you may
have studied and practiced is your journey. I’m showing Step comments after the
Step, so as not to influence you in advance. It is a wilderness trek to be left
to your own wits, but then you can also listen more closely for guides, angels
and teachers, always first saying: “I surround and protect myself with the Love
and the Grace of God.” Thankfully, I was taught this practice in 1989.
P.S. If you’ve some interest due to this or other
Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can
use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in
order in the archives - one post per Step.
Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps
once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference
how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide
a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One
may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps
students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as
a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well
through the Free School of the New Message.
