Step 46 - I must be small to be great. Entry for Step 45 - Alone I can do nothing.

Greetings All -

IS IT A CONTRADICTION THAT YOU MUST BE SMALL to be great? It is not a contradiction if you understand its meaning. Recognizing your limitations allows you to work in a limited context very successfully. This demonstrates a greater reality than you could have realized before. Your greatness must not be based merely on hope or high expectation. It must not be founded on idealism but on true experience. Allow yourself to be small, and you will experience that greatness is with you and that greatness is part of you.

IN YOUR TWO PRACTICE PERIODS TODAY, allow yourself to be limited but without judgment. There is no condemnation. Actively engage your mind in focusing on your limitations. Focus without condemnation. Look objectively. You are meant to be a vehicle for a Greater Reality to express itself in this world.Your vehicle for expression is quite limited, but it is fully adequate to accomplish the task that is yours to accomplish. In accepting its limitations, you can understand its mechanism and learn to work with it constructively. Then it is no longer a limitation but a form of joyful expression for you.

PRACTICE 46: Two 15-minute practice periods.

In my book, blue ink at this point is for the second year, applying the Step to my regional planning work. Valid thought?

From the Journal:

8:00 A.M. August 31, 1999 S2K - Alone I can do nothing. My limitations - session 1 - I am one human of almost 6 billion; I'm 52 years old - I speak one language. I've only seen a small portion of the planet. Most of the info - comes from somewhere else - It is a compilation of what has gone before. My body has limits - I've not concentrated on physical training. I've worked my mind - but still that is a limited store of information. My personality type ENTJ is limiting.

My relationships both limit me and enhance me - at the same time. These are people relationships - food, alcohol, candy, music, TV/video, what I've learned and what I believe. Even though I'm doing this from my center point, these are shared by others. What I perceive as strengths or  weaknesses are both limiting. Reality - this reality is itself limiting - and yet that gives focus. (reality is a crutch)

To set parameters - to limit scope - gives focus and allows movement - to manifest that which is envisioned, an evolved variation - or something not expected by the design can also result.

It is the train of evolution of manifestation, in which I find myself. among others. There is an irreversible invisible irreversible  trajectory - the key thought that focused At's thoughts on entropy - which can be found at work as a principle? [At is short for Adriaan - AM de Lange, University of Pretoria, who participated in the learning-org discussion group I am limited in a limiting environment - or I'm focused within a focusing environment. A specialist
or I have a choice to be focused. 9/1/99

Contextual, environmental limitation is a characteristic of any manifestation - even though the part contains the whole holographically.

Thus we deal in regions and localities/the geography of reality. (bounded realities)

Waking up in the trajectory which movement creates, the illusion of time, we can become aware of our family and  our reality as a greater community.

Wow - that was a lot. This is posted late because there wasn't time to enter all this from the journal. I am not giving readers everything, be thankful for that, but some of the explorations will be included. This opens me up, which may be a risk, but we need to know others in order that we together can do things. Thoughts can make us feel alone when no one else seems to share them. That has been my experience.
