Step 334 - The presence of my Teachers is with me every day. Entry for Step 333 - There is a presence with me. I can feel it.

Greetings All –

EVERY DAY, NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE, no matter where you go, the presence of your Teachers is with you. This idea is to remind you that you are not alone. This idea is to give you an opportunity to come out of the isolation of your own imagination and to experience this presence and to receive the gift of this presence. In this gift, your Teachers will give to you the ideas and inspiration that you need. In this, you will express what you have received and thus confirm what you have received.

PRACTICE REMEMBERING THIS UPON THE HOUR by once again concentrating on the presence that is with you. You need only relax to feel it, for it is most certainly with you. In your deeper practices, once again enter stillness in the sanctuary of Knowledge so that you may receive this presence and the great confirmation and comfort that it gives to you. Allow yourself to leave self-doubt and the sense of unworthiness aside, for these things will be consumed in the fire of Knowledge and purified from your mind. When this is done, you will not need to give yourself grandiose ideas of yourself. You will not need to misrepresent yourself in the attempt to escape your sense of guilt and inadequacy, for guilt and inadequacy are consumed in the fire of Knowledge. Therefore, bring all that obstructs your participation and all fears that haunt and oppress you to the fire of Knowledge so that they may be consumed. You will sit in front of this fire, and you will see them being consumed, and you will feel your mind being bathed and cleansed in the loving fire of Knowledge. The presence is with you every day. The fire of Knowledge is with you every day.

PRACTICE 334: Two 30-minute practice

This Step points to a profound experience of the presence of one’s Teachers. It is a threshold when experienced. Did I experience it the day of this Step in the year 2000? No mention in the journal or on the page. The journal does cover some territory that others might recognize:

7 a.m. June 14, 2000 – waking depressed – tired – What is my life supposed to be?

7:50 a.m. Where am I? I've adequate food, clothing, shelter – this is been true all of my life. That alone makes me blessed in the physical. Being in the world has been a challenge – finding and using my talents, my spirit. I feel that I've made progress – my path is true in spirit – the passage is confusing. I'm operating in a learning environment.

Is there a way for me to be more effective with my time? A way to teach…

– The universe is experimental – relationships can be discerned through science. Emergent design can be viewed, sense, imagined – the modules can be separated and recombined.

6:53 p.m. At home – Tomorrow an Exec. Com. meeting. I had thought I could make a good showing and get back in the driver's seat – that a 1% chance.

I'm don't know what I'm doing – out of/lack of good options – not fear. Had I known where or how to go earlier – I would.

There may be no spiritual component to this situation – just tough noogies. I don't even have a clue.

12:58 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2000 – There is so much that could be done…so much I tried to do… so much I neglect to do… What really should be done? And how am I to Know?
At the end of the day, I’m looking for guidance. Starting out self-reflective in the a.m., I write: “my path is true in spirit – the passage is confusing.” The search is still on, and I continued on then. Let us continue now.

P.S. At Step 334, we are 31 Steps from the end – Step 365. This is not the place to begin this Practice. If you’ve some interest due to this or other Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in order in the archives - one post per Step.

Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message
